Weekly Price Recap: 2/16 - 2/22

Griddy members had a great week last week, paying 8.0 ¢/kWh vs. the Texas average of 11.9c/kWh, which is 48% higher!

There were 0 spikes across the state last week! But, due to the volatile nature of west Texas, this load zone saw quite a few price spikes. These spikes can be attributed to transmission congestion due in large part to transformer and transmission line outages. On a brighter note, there was over 4 hours of negative pricing in Houston and Dallas and over 1 hour in the rest of the state
