Weekly Price Recap: 2/23 - 2/29

Griddy members had a great week last week, paying 7.9 ¢/kWh vs. the Texas average of 11.9c/kWh, which is 50% higher!

There were 0 spikes across the state last week! Due to the volatile nature of west Texas, this load zone saw 13 price spikes. These spikes can be attributed to transmission congestion, specifically at the Dollarhide – No Trees constraint.  On a brighter note, there was over 1 hour of negative pricing across the state and 20 hours of negative prices in West Texas last week!
