Weekly Price Recap: 8/30 – 9/05

Griddy members had another week of savings, paying 9.6¢/kWh compared to the Texas average of 12.0¢/kWh, which is 25% higher!

For the week, we saw 1 hour with average prices being over $1/kWh and another 3 hours that averaged higher than 10¢/kWh. The most expensive hour happened when wind and solar generation dropped to only 10% of total grid production.

Your energy rate was 3¢/kWh or less for more than 85% of the hours during the week! So far it looks like we may do even better this week, as wind generation has been strong and the hot temperatures have started to moderate.
