Weekly Price Recap: 9/13 – 9/19

Griddy members had another week of savings last week, paying 8.17¢/kWh compared to the Texas average of 12.0c/kWh, which is 47% higher!

Last week, pricing was generally low with cooler temperatures and rain suppressing demand throughout the week.

The highest hour of the day was 5 pm where energy only prices averaged 2.8c/kWh, but most hours saw prices around the 2.0c/kWh mark!

Wind was the largest percentage of renewables last week with around 10% of total generation. Members who used their electricity in the early evening and late night hours saw the largest contribution to a greener grid!
